A GIFT WITH A PAST
It was the autumn of 2025 when A1 invited employees to bring in woollen pullovers they no longer used.
“Bring them for a good cause,” they said.
The initiative did not come as a surprise. Volunteering and environmental responsibility are already deeply embedded in A1’s culture. Employees regularly take part in projects that create a positive impact in public spaces, support people in need and help protect endangered nature, especially bees.
To encourage the collection, we sewed a large felt bag and added a hand-stitched illustration showing how worn woollen garments can find a new life through regeneration. For a month, the bag occupied a prominent place in the lobbies of A1’s buildings in Ljubljana and Maribor. As employees arrived at work, they contributed woollen garments already carrying their own personal stories. The collection became a visible reminder that valuable materials are often already around us, simply waiting for a second life.
The very bag that collected the pullovers later travelled with us to Tuscany.

Garments are sorted by colour and composition before beginning their next chapter.
What employees did not yet know was that the initiative would come full circle a few months later.
As a New Year gift, A1 chose ReWooly slippers for employees and business partners — slippers made from regenerated woollen garments.
They received a gift with a past, a purpose and a softer next chapter.
Future ReWooly slippers. Still jumpers for now.
The next chapter.
